Camp FordNation, for kids unable to return to school.
"Unlock the fun at Camp FordNation.”
In a surprising turn of events, Doug Ford has announced he’s running a fun activity camp for students living in Ontario. Every. Single. One.
Funded by the Federal government of Canada, your child can be dropped off at Doug’s home in Etobicoke on June 3rd, and left there until June 27th, 2021. Activities include: Reviewing government documents, CN Tower Playdough competitions, and baking cheesecake.
Kids who sign up early will receive a T-shirt with the words STAY SAFE printed on it, a mask branded with the Canadian Flag, and a bottle of sunscreen mixed with hand sanitizer.
Some are questioning whether Ford’s motives to keep the schools closed are altruistic, and not just a ploy to drive interest in FordNation Camp, which actually sounds pretty fun.
Blake, a dad from Orillia with 3 young kids, says he doesn’t “give a rats rear-end about Ford’s motive or how fun the stupid camp is.” His kids have been waiting in the car since Monday. “If you’re not early, you’re late,” he said.
Camp Polivre has also offered programs over the next few weeks, but has seen far less interest than Camp FordNation due to its focus on economic policy and the dangers of inflation.
